BABBLELEAVES

For children aged 3–7 and families

Babbleleaves is a dance and music performance for young children that explores how we perceive the world around us through dance, music, and inspiration from objects found in the forest. A whimsical text by children’s book author Eva Lindström sparks the imagination.

In the performance, children encounter an array of sticks—Bludderblad. Who are they, and where are they going? Percussionist Magdalena creates music with stones, blending their sounds with acoustic instruments. Dancer Oskar keeps track of all the Bludderblad and guides the children into the world of dance. An invitation to creativity.

WE JUST DO

For children ages 4-8, families, and audiences with complex learning difficulties and disabilities
”We don’t say it like this, like this, or like this. We do. We just do.”

Join dancers Anna and Oskar on a thrilling adventure where we meet Whirls and imaginative instruments. Together we create movements, music, and special happenings, some of which are interactive. Christian creates magical images with the light. But, tangled yarns are not so easy to unravel. We become a sculpture. We leave traces, in secret. We do. We just do.

We Just Do is a performance for children from 4 years old where children are invited to participate in parts of the dance. The performance is adaptable to different settings and can be enjoyed by a wide audience, from small to large.

With support from the City of Stockholm, Region Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Council and Sigtuna Municipality.

BRIDGES

For children +4 years, and audiences with complex learning difficulties and disabilities
An exciting room is created with challenges and play.

Balance, sway, move between and below. Sounds from the harp and large rhythmical gongs build bridges between music and dance, between you and me. The technician moves amongst us making the space glow at the same time the two dancers move with each other and the audience. The percussionist creates sound that rolls like waves across the space. Underneath the silk ceiling we embrace the space, movement and each other.

After the performance the audience is welcome to play the instruments and move amongst the scenography in their own pace together with the performers.

SHELTER TREES

For children +3 years
We are building a cabin, a cabin of branches

Shelter trees is a philosophical dance performance where we experience the joy of sharing moments with a friend and the somewhat prickly feeling that can occur when collaborating and building something together.

The sighing are in the trees, in the leaves, on the ground, in the pine needles, in our woollen hats, in our hair and in the pockets of our jackets.

2016 Semanas internacionales de teatro para niñas y niños Madrid, Spain
